Why Does Feminism Seem Idiotic To Us?

The genuine importance of women's liberation is to uplift women from the unprivileged monetary condition and to give ladies equivalent privileges to men. Also, one of the most crucial tactics is to zero in on their schooling and medical care. Domestic abuse and dowry culture should also be prioritized by feminists. The genuine meaning of women's liberation is to approach individuals with dignity and respect, regardless of gender.

Why does feminism seem idiotic to us?

The narrative of feminism has been hijacked by people who are famous on social media. A gathering of profoundly privileged social media influencers, celebs, or actresses being symbolized as the definition of feminism is what is portrayed to you. At the point when you hear "feminism" if Sonam Kapoor or any influencer or YouTuber comes to your mind who doesn't actually discuss the real issues such as education or healthcare then the narrative of feminism has failed. There is clearly plenty of ladies who have battled throughout everyday life and have now gotten to a place where they are successful and contributing to society. Women like Malala Yousafzai, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, and, surprisingly, a lot more who are not even well known are genuinely educated people who have really accomplished something in their life. The narrative of women's rights has been detracted from these incredibly erudite people and given to the influencers and so-called celebrities who are all about themselves.

That is where the significance of feminism was changed. That is when feminism turned into a term that implied the posturing of previously existing privileges that are on the bar of honors that men have. Most individuals got irritated in view of the outrageous posturing of the same privileges. The truth is when economically and socially high people flaunt their privileges for the sake of woman's rights, the people who don't even have the basic necessities get bothered by it. This is sensible in light of the fact that pretentiousness is being addressed here as opposed to a reason. This is the thing that is turning people against women's liberation. For example,  if a woman who runs NGO or a woman who has gone through domestic violence, or someone who has done something for women's education is being interviewed then most probably everybody would be keen on hearing from her. Since we can resonate with her and she is discussing the genuine social deficiencies. We would pay attention to that from an empathic point of view.

However, in the present time, these powerhouses, the so-called influencers are showing off their extravagant life, their privileges, and their looks in the name of feminism. Presently feminism is all about fashion and show-off. The extent of their dedication to their achievements ends with themselves. They simply, self-proclaim themselves as a feminist, discussion over! But, have they actually done anything inspiring in reality?

People who are at the top of social media have the most open doors and the ability to capitalize on something. These days everybody is associated with social media. That is the manner by which we consume everything.

My thoughts:

The issue is that actual feminism is to a great extent concealed in our society. People have no clue about it. Furthermore, the feminism we are aware of is so stupid that people feel humiliated to call themselves a feminist. Since it is apparently dumb, egotistical, and self-centered. Finally, here's the most frequently asked question, “Is feminism still needed?”. The topic will be discussed in my next blog post. Keep an eye out!
