Conspiracy Theories About Big Pharma - What Is It?

Is there a group known as big pharma creating diseases withholding cures and catching huge checks while innocent people die of extremely curable untreatable diseases? Generally, big pharma refers to the collection of pharmaceutical companies, politicians, insurance companies, corporations, and non-profits. A general premise of big pharma is that it is run by a small group of people who are primarily concerned with profits. In light of this, let's dig into some of the biggest hits from the big Pharma conspiracy since 1981.

During the AIDS epidemic rumors circulated that it was made by the CIA to eradicate blacks and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, some say gay men were intentionally injected with this disease during New York's hep b experiments in 1978; while others claim it was started by Richard Nixon while acknowledging that the government has not traditionally had the best interests of marginalized groups like these. In 1971, he combined the national cancer institute with the US army's biowarfare department. The evidence debunking these theories still exists.

To begin with, most scientists agree that sometime in the 1930s, HIV spread from monkeys to humans molecularly. After decades of studying the genetic code of different viruses that affect monkeys, chimpanzees, and humans, biologists have traced the origin of HIV-1. Upon examination, it was found that most of the infection was acquired from the consumption of bushmeat, a type of wild meat. Researchers discovered that HIV was the result of two separate viruses infecting two different monkeys. At some point, both monkeys' blood and the virus mutated into SIV or Simian immunodeficiency virus. Then sometime between 1910 and 1950, a human hunted down one of these chimpanzees for bushmeat. HIV was then transmitted from human blood to humans.

An argument against the idea that HIV was created in a laboratory is that it wasn't technologically possible at any point in time. The technology to create or recreate a virus was only developed recently, in 2002.

Back in the 1950s, people claimed that fluoride was a communist conspiracy to make Americans stupid. According to conspiracy theories, fluoride lowers IQ, causes Alzheimer's, cancer, and anemia. Likewise, some say it is a mind control measure, or that the sugar industry benefits from it by making people eat more sweets while preventing cavities. A warning about calling a poison center if a child ingests too much toothpaste is cited as evidence by anti-fluoridationists in Grand Rapids. Fluoride was first tested in water in Michigan in 1945 and without the consent of residents. The experiment proved successful. In the 11th year of the 15-year study, the rates of cavities among 30 000 schoolchildren had declined by 60%. More studies have shown that children and adults can reduce tooth decay by 25% by consistently consuming fluoride at a low dose. Furthermore, fluoride is naturally occurring in water without government intervention.

You now have this bizarre backlash, where people think anything chemical is bad. However, despite everything being a chemical, excessive fluoride consumption and prenatal exposure to fluoride can cause harm. The US has significantly lower levels of fluoride than other countries, according to many dental experts. Over a quarter of Americans believe there is a secret cure for cancer, according to worldwide cancer research. Of course, there hasn't been one found yet. In the first place, cancer is an umbrella term for over 200 different types of diseases, which differ in their causes, growth, and spread. Thus, there is no one cure for all types of cancer. Although progress has been made, more remains to be done. Cancer survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years, and can you imagine how many people would have to know about and keep a cure secret? It's possibly in the hundreds of thousands of vaccines that have been quite the hot topic over the last few decades.
There are still a number of claims concerning the covid vaccine, ranging from the idea that it alters your DNA to the idea that a microchip created by Bill Gates is installed. The coil may give you the virus itself or may make you worry about these theories. To understand the covid vaccine, you just need to look at and listen to the science. According to the CDC, vaccines are safe. Many tests have been conducted on the vaccine, and its safety will continue to be monitored. You are less likely to fall ill or spread the disease if you have the vaccine. Furthermore, it saves the lives of people by providing booster shots and wells. Vaccines have been shown to lose their effectiveness with time. It has been proven that boosters boost immunity. Is there a reason someone would choose to not only believe some or all of these theories but to spread them as well?

Conspiracy theories are often shared among people who lack or feel like they lack social power. Since we have decided that there is a demon in the world, it's as dark and scary as ever. It actually makes conspiracy theorists feel better in a strange roundabout way. Perhaps it isn't the abundance of evidence that contradicts a myriad of theories like these that makes you hesitate to believe or to share them. Consider whether this is a view of the world and its people that you are willing to accept. It is true that world history is filled with heinous acts and horrible people, but you might listen to science if you want to leave your house every day and help us to recover from this pandemic. Lastly, trust that people aren't as bad as you perceive them to be.
